Thank you for visiting my site; it means the world to me! My name is Kay and I created K. Imogene in hopes to capture the ever-so-fleeting beauties of art, intellect, and humanity as they come - in hopes they may not disappear. No matter who you are, I hope you are able to find joy here.

I am a self-taught artist; I'm learning as I go and will humbly admit I have no idea what I am actually doing. All I know is this: when I bring paint to canvas, my heart comes alive again. I can feel again. I have no idea what I am doing, but I know I love creating art.

In addition to art, I am a literature junkie. I cannot get enough of words and the beautiful use of language. I feel so passionately about expression through the art of language, drawn to the emotionally raw self-expression that is bled out of words. For as long as I can remember, I have put pen to paper in desperate attempt to make sense of this world. I've learned so much about myself in literature and through my own writings. 

My hope is that someone else might read my words, hear my stories, or see my paintings and discover a piece of themselves within them. What is the point of sharing our hearts if not for advocacy and community? 

Everything about K. Imogene is deeply personal and I want to emphasize: perfection was never the goal, but honesty always will be.
